This is the typical flow for editing a podcast episode in Henshu. Create a show and an episode from the dashboard, then follow these steps.

1. Upload your audio

Drag and drop your audio files into the editor, or click Select Files. Henshu processes each file automatically. Enhancement and transcription run in the background. Learn more about uploading

2. Create your structure

Add sections (Intro, Interview, Outro, etc.) and drag your audio files into them. Add pause blocks between audio for pacing. Learn more about sections and blocks

3. Cut and trim

Double-click an audio block to open the detail view. Trim the start and end with grab handles, or use the Select tool to cut and mute sections. You can also select words in the transcript to make edits. Learn more about cutting and trimming

4. Toggle AI enhancement (optional)

Enhancement is off by default. Toggle it on for voice recordings to get noise reduction, mouth noise removal, tone optimization, and volume leveling. Leave it off for music or jingles. Learn more about AI enhancement

5. Add background music (optional)

Assign music to individual sections from your show’s BGM library. Adjust volume, ducking, and fade settings per section. Learn more about background music

6. Preview

Use the playback controls at the bottom to hear how your episode will sound with all edits and music applied.

7. Export

Click Export, then Assemble Episode. Henshu assembles everything into a single file. You’ll get an email when it’s ready. Download as WAV or M4A. Learn more about generating and downloading
